Juanita F. Francis, RN, MBA has extensive background and interest in healthcare and education. Her career as a women’s health nurse was in Illinois, Ohio and Massachusetts. She moved to Arizona in 1998 and worked for the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix campus and Phoenix Children’s Hospital until her retirement. She has a long history of philanthropy and community involvement in Chicago, Columbus (Ohio), Boston and Phoenix, including Teen Parent Connection, the National Medical Interpreter Project, and United Way. In addition to the Maricopa Health Foundation board, she serves on the boards of the University of Illinois Foundation and the Arizona State University Foundation. She is a member of the Arizona section of the International Women’s Forum and is president of the F2 Family Foundation.  Nita and her husband Phil have four children, eight grandchildren, and a dog named Scruggs.
