Vote YES on Proposition 480 for the most cost-effective means of providing quality healthcare for all Arizonans.
The cost to maintain the outdated Maricopa Medical Center -- built over 50 years ago in the 1960s -- outweighs the cost to upgrade, renovate, and replace the structure, making Proposition 480 the most cost-effective choice for voters for three main reasons:
- Prop 480 takes advantage of cost savings through modern medicine’s ability to improve recovery time, reduce hospital stays, and thereby, reduce the number of beds needed.
- Prop 480 expands crucial medical education resources at a time when Arizona faces a critical shortage of doctors, nurses, and medical professionals.
- Prop 480 provides access to a new behavioral health hospital that will serve the seriously mentally ill and people dealing with substance abuse.
Vote YES on 480.
