What We Do

MHF generates financial support for critical initiatives at MIHS through fundraising, charitable gifts, and securing grants. We raise money to support patients, strengthen medical education and research programs, and perform health-related community outreach in Maricopa County.

The money we raise and allocate goes right back into our community. MIHS is not only a safety net for the underserved and indigent, it is also a renowned center of excellence in medical treatment, education, and research. Therefore by strengthening MIHS, the only public health care system in Arizona and the leading institute of medical education in the state, the Foundation helps to strengthen the entire region.

Whether educating young students about health care, providing increased access and improved quality of health care, or raising funds for important capital projects, Maricopa Health Foundation stands ready to help.

Patient Support

We provide direct support to the patients who need it most and often have nowhere else to turn. Enhancing the quality of medical care and level of comfort for patients and their families during periods of intense hardship makes an enormous impact on this lives of those affected.

Medical Education and Research

With our support, MIHS trains more than 400 physicians each year, 62 percent of whom will stay in Arizona to practice medicine. We also support the MIHS Research Team, which is involved in cutting edge clinical trials and research partnerships with local universities.

Community Outreach

We provide informational, educational, and promotional outreach events that appropriately and effectively communicate with a wide range of audiences that spans culture, ethnicity, income, and lifestyle.
