The Physicians Leadership Council (PLC) serves as a self directed focus group, bringing the perspectives and concerns of the medical staff to the attention of Maricopa Health Foundation. At the same time, it is a forum for bringing information about fundraising activities to the physicians, who in-turn disseminate the information to their peers. Contributions by members of the PLC are pooled into specific designated funds that go directly to outpatient and inpatient services at Maricopa Integrated Health System. Serving the most vulnerable residents of Maricopa County, your contributions provide copayment assistance, medication, medical equipment, treatment, surgery, and safe discharge assistance for your patients.
Participate in shaping and taking ownership of the fundraising process
Members are invited to participate in an invaluable "friend and fundraising" role, to screen lists of prospective donors and foster the role of fellow physicians in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts from the community. Maricopa Health Foundation pledges to respect your time, your patient relationships, and your comfort level with fundraising.
Building financial resources to improve access to care at MIHS
Maricopa Health Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization, governed by a Board of Directors who provide financial support, knowledge, and expertise to the Foundation. Your tax-deductible gift helps us further the enhancement and expansion of Maricopa Integrated Health System's priority programs and services, and inspire hope and better health in our communities. All operating expenses for the Foundation are funded separately by generous private donors, insuring 100 % of your contributions will directly fund only the programs and services you choose. Each fund listed on the Donation form is managed by Physicians and Staff of MIHS. Access to funds is a transparent process, with a written policy to ensure adherence to your wishes.
